Your New Company/Role:

As one of the leading and renowned organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time role and with one day work from home once up to speed.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager who is nurturing and supportive, your main responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Ensure efficient input and management of the Creditors Docusmart system
  • Processing and payment of supplier invoices, including reconciling to Supplier’s statement in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure supplier invoices are processed and paid in compliance to company policies.
  • Follow up on supplier queries
  • Maintain an audit trail of changes to the supplier file and ensure exceptions reports are
  • produced for these changes for review by authorized Managers
  • Prepare reports to assist the Accounting Team for review and analysis of overhead spend to budget and forecasts as required
  • Assist the Finance Manager with account reconciliations(on a monthly and quarterly basis for select reconciliations as specified by the Finance Manager)
  • Provide assistance where required for deal costing
  • Maintain an efficient filing and data recovery system
  • Identify opportunities for improved accounting processes
  • Ensure all till floats and petty cash tins are reconciled and counted monthly - any discrepancies are to be reported to management
  • Ad-hoc administration tasks as required


Ideal Profile

To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounts Payable function:

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
  • 1 year or more related accounts payable experience
  • Experience in automotive industry is a MUST HAVE
  • Prior experience in deals processing
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Great verbal and written skills
  • Experience with large ERP systems which are in line within the automotive industry - Pentana, Titan, Revolution

Benefits

  • $75,000 - $80,000 + Super (can go slightly higher based on experience)
